Movies on the Plaza

The kids are out of school for the summer so that means we are constantly trying to find some fun things to do to keep them occupied. Why not add FREE movie night at Civic Plaza to the list?

Movies on the Plaza is an open-air series of family friendly movies in the heart of the city that will run every week through the end of September. All the movies are free and open to all residents of the city. Movies on the Plaza features one of the largest outdoors screens in Albuquerque.

Movies start at dusk right after sunset and the conclusion of the live music from ABQ Foods Fridays. Some seating is available but moviegoers can bring their own portable seats, blankets, and lawn chairs. A mobile concession stand is available and you can have a great dinner right before the movie at ABQ Food Fridays. After hours parking is available in the area and also directly underneath Civic Plaza. Like all Civic Plaza events, Movies on the Plaza is dog and bike friendly.
